This was the most amazing swimming event I’ve ever watched.  I love swimming relays–both watching and being a part of.  It’s the only real “team” aspect of swimming, because the majority is all individual accomplishment.  You rely on your teammates so much and the greatest thing is cheering them on and having them cheer you on.  The 4×100 relay that the US won yesterday was the ultimate, and one that won’t soon be topped.  Go USA!.

Bennigan’s, Steak & Ale file for bankruptcy

No!!!  I’m not a huge fan of Bennigan’s or Steak & Ale, but when I worked in Orlando, we would go to Bennigan’s for lunch maybe once every month of two, just to catch up with friends.  In fact, my “going away” lunch was held there (thanks, Jane!).  They didn’t have great food, but it was decent and they had a good variety, so everyone could find something that they liked.

My first date with Tammy was at Bennigan’s in Metairie.  After dinner, we went to see “Coming to America.”  Ahhh, memories.  I wish we could have gone one more time before they closed.  Oh, well….
