BREAKING NEWS: Emeril Lagasse leaving Food Network – Slashfood

I can’t say I’m that surprised with this news.  First Mario Batali left, now Emeril.  I think the Food Network is looking for fresh new faces, and honestly, I think Emeril’s days of being the most popular star on the network are long past him.  They moved “Emeril Live” out of primetime to 7 p.m. EST a few months ago.  I’m going to miss having a constant representative and cheerleader of New Orleans cuisine on the Food Network, but I guess it’s time to move on for both of them..

Funny…this is exactly the same thing that we proposed last year, but this time it has come from the contest moderator who fought against us when we brought it up.  Unfortunately, the members seem to be very against it and are once again recommending setting up another contest for photoshopped entries.  These people just don’t get it.  I guess it’ll be another year before I look at the thread.
