On Saturday night, Tammy and I dined at K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, which is Paul Prudhomme’s restaurant. This was Tammy’s Mother’s Day gift. Yes, Mother’s Day was a month ago, but we’ve been busy the past few weeks, and this was the first opportunity that we could make reservations.
The restuarant is in the French Quarter and it is famous for starting the “blackened” craze in the 80s. It’s a very nice restaurant, with seating on two floors. We sat in K’s Parlor on the second floor.
The menu is prepared daily, as only the freshest ingredients are used. Tammy had Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer and the Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee as her entree. I had the Turtle Soup for my appetizer and the Blackened Drum for my entree. We shared a White Chocolate Bread Pudding for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the service was very good.
I would recommend K-Paul’s to anybody. (Like my recommendation means anything.) But still–it’s a great place to eat a wonderful dinner..
